Barbados appears to be in stage 4 of the Demographic transition Model. Some characteristics, however, fall into stage five, such as their extremely low population growth, high life expectancy, and low fertility rate. With the population growth rate being at 0.3%, life expectancy at 77 years, and fertility rate at 1.7, these factors all fall under stage 5 but clearly Barbados hasn't fully left stage 4. This is due to the shape of their population pyramids and natural rate of insincere.
